Future Floodlands.
An immersive installation and stage set for a theatre performance outside Peterborough Cathedral.
Exploring the the possibility of flooding, as Peterborough sits on the edge of The Fens, land that has been reclaimed from the sea from both geology and man, and if the sea level rises would be quick to be reclaimed by the North Sea.
Commission by Eastern Angles i worked with Jim Tovey and John Elson who led the stage set design as I designed the 'Submersion Chamber', including audio recordings. Inside you look up through transparencies of distorted maps of England and see the Cathedral submerged in water.
